British Supersport Championship
Building on the foundations of 2010, at least four teams will be campaigning the new Triumph Daytona 675R in the 2011 British Supersport Championship. This championship which has already spawned Moto GP rider Cal Crutchlow and World Superbike front runners Leon Camier and Tom Sykes, supports the prestigous British Superbike Championship and all rounds will be televised by Eurosport again this year. The Triumph teams and riders are:
Oxford TAG Triumph is running machines for Aussie duo Paul Young and Billy McConnell, as well as Derbyshire rider, Christian Iddon. Representing the team in the Supersport Cup category of the championship is Shaun Winfield from Swadlincote.
South African rider AJ Venter and Lingfield´s Jimmy Hill will ride for the Map Triumph team, with Yorkshire´s Josh Caygill taking up the reins in the Supersport Cup.
Smiths (Gloucester) Racing have local rider Dan Cooper aboard one of their Daytona 675s, with Royston´s Luke Mossey and Matt Whitman of Swindon completing the line up.
Last year´s Triumph Triple Challenge winner Jimmy Dye from Horsham will be enjoying the spoils of his success aboard a T3 Racing Daytona 675 in the National Superstock Championship, partnered by Northern Ireland´s John Simpson in the Supersport Cup.
